International Pairs Worldwide was created in England in 1999 and started as a regional inter-club “pairs” competition in the Hampshire area to celebrate the Millennium. 2016 saw the launch of the 1st season of the Windhoek Lager International which was hugely successful.
The worldwide golf competition is arguably the world’s largest and most competitive amateur pairs golf competition. It is specifically aimed and designed to give the amateur, handicap clubs and public handicap-registered golfers, the opportunity to play at a higher level against golfers of other countries in exciting tournament conditions.
Windhoek Lager currently sponsors the International Pairs tournament in Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Golfers that qualify in their region are invited to represent their club and country at the World Finals at Penina Hotel and Golf Resort in Portugal from Tuesday, 26 October to Saturday, 30 October 2021.
